Snake Draft Format

The draft follows a snake pattern. If you pick 1st in round 1, you pick 12th in round 2, then 1st again in round 3, and so on.

Number of Picks

Public: Each player drafts exactly 10 stocks. Total of 120 picks per draft (12 players × 10 stocks).

Private: Customizable (2, 5, 8, 10, 12, or 15 stocks per player).

Time Limit

Public: Each pick has an 8-hour timer.

Private: Set your own timer from 1 minute to 24 hours.

If time expires, a stock will be auto-picked for you based on market cap.

No Duplicates

Each stock can only be picked once per draft. If someone picks AAPL, no one else can pick it.

Valid Tickers Only

You can only draft publicly traded stocks with valid ticker symbols. The system validates all picks in real-time.

Portfolio Weighting

Your 10 stock picks are weighted by draft order to simulate strategic importance. You start with a virtual $100,000 portfolio.

Pick # Weight Allocation
Pick 1 19% $19,000
Pick 2 17% $17,000
Pick 3 15% $15,000
Pick 4 13% $13,000
Pick 5 11% $11,000
Pick 6 9% $9,000
Pick 7 7% $7,000
Pick 8 5% $5,000
Pick 9 3% $3,000
Pick 10 1% $1,000

Strategy Tip: Your early picks have more weight, so choose wisely!

Scoring & Competition

Portfolio Value

Your portfolio value is calculated using real-time stock prices. The system tracks each stock's current price and multiplies it by your shares.

Divisions

When you join a draft, you're assigned to a division (Healthcare, Banking, Fintech). You compete against the 11 other players in your division.

Rankings

Rankings are based on total portfolio value. The player with the highest portfolio value wins their division!

Season Length

Each season lasts 90 days from the draft completion date. Track your progress throughout the season!

Point System & Rankings

At the end of each season, you earn points based on your final division rank. World Rankings are calculated based on trailing 12 months of points to keep the leaderboard fresh and competitive.

Division Rank Points Awarded
🥇 1st Place 25
🥈 2nd Place 20
🥉 3rd Place 16
4th Place 13
5th Place 10
6th Place 8
7th Place 6
8th Place 5
9th Place 4
10th Place 3
11th Place 2
12th Place 1

How It Works

  • Final Rankings: At season end, your division rank is determined by your total portfolio value
  • Point Award: You receive points based on where you finish (1st = 25 points, 2nd = 20 points, etc.)
  • Trailing 12 Months: World Rankings show points earned in the past 12 months only
  • World Rankings: Your trailing 12-month point total determines your position on the global leaderboard

Climbing the Ranks

The more seasons you play and the better you perform, the higher you'll climb on the World Rankings. Consistent top finishes earn you the most points and prestige!
